A holding company that thinks in decades.
Wolf x group holds and builds businesses over long horizons. The identity is drawn the same way: few elements, exact proportions, nothing added for effect.
Discipline
Decisions follow criteria set in advance, not momentum.
Discretion
We speak when there is something to say. The work stays with the people it concerns.
Durability
We build for the next owner as much as the current one.
Alignment
Our capital moves with the companies we hold, on their timeline.
One mark, drawn once.
W and G are joined by an X whose long stroke falls below the baseline at 59°. That stroke is the brand's single graphic idea. Everything else follows from it.
Construction
The drawing on the left is measured in the master's own units. Reference numbers match the callouts.
- 1The slash: centreline x = −0.5968y + 459.2, an angle of 59° to the baseline.
- 2Cap line at y 52. W, X and G share it.
- 3Baseline at y 273. Only the slash crosses it.
- 4Cap height, 221 units. The unit for clear space.
- 5Monogram width, 640 units. Lockup proportions are fixed; never redraw them.
Clear space and minimum size
Keep a margin of X on every side, where X is half the cap height. Below the minimum sizes, switch from lockup to monogram.
Misuse
The mark is supplied, not interpreted.
Small sizes, same precision.
The monogram sits centred on a Midnight square at 83% of its width. Paper letters, Slate Light X. Nothing is simplified for small sizes; the master holds to 16 px.
Midnight carries the brand.
Two inks come from the logo, Midnight and Slate. The rest are surfaces and one accent. Select a swatch to copy its HEX value.
Proportion
Accessible pairs
Contrast ratios, WCAG 2.2.
Three voices, one hierarchy.
A light Garamond for what is said, a quiet grotesque for how it is explained, a monospace for what is measured.
Patient capital. Precise judgement.
Scale ratio 1.333, a perfect fourth, from a 17 px body.
Display and headings. Light at large sizes, never below 24 px.
Text, interface and captions. Regular and medium only.
Figures, references, coordinates. Used small.
One line at 59°.
The Slash is the long stroke of the X, lifted out of the mark. It divides, points and frames. Used once per layout, it reads as a signature; used twice, as decoration.

Motion settles. Nothing bounces.
One curve, named Settle, and three speeds. Movement starts with intent and comes to rest without overshoot.

Six formats, one rule set. Copy shown is placeholder.
Patient capital. Precise judgement.
in decades.
Precise judgement.
Say less, precisely.
Measured, specific, quietly confident. Plain verbs. Figures only when they are sourced. No superlatives.
